Executive Committee
The Executive Committee, chaired by the President, directs and manages the day-to-day activities and operations of the UOSU. The executives are elected in a campus-wide election in the spring and work full-time throughout the year.
The Executive Committee is a Committee of the Board of Directors.
The President is the chief spokesperson for uOttawa undergrads and the overall leader of the UOSU. They ensure student voices are heard loud and clear by the University administration. Responsible for the management and supervision of the Union’s affairs and operations, they are also expected to lead collaboratively and provide support to the other members of the Executive.

What is the difference between UOSU and the Recognized Student Governments?
The UOSU operates like a federal government, working on issues that affect the entire student body, such as student health & dental insurance and the U-Pass, student clubs and services, or improving campus academically and socially through events, campaigns, and advocacy efforts.
Recognized Student Governments (RSGs) operate like a provincial government, organizing events and providing support to students in their specific faculties.
Round Tables
Round Tables are a collaborative forum for Recognized Student Governments and the UOSU to work together on common projects, discuss campus-wide issues, and represent students. Round Tables meet at least once a month.
