Gouvernance

The University of Ottawa Students’ Union is the sole representative union of uOttawa’s 30,000+
undergraduate students. We are a student-run organization, with a governance structure designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and the amplification of student voices on campus.

The UOSU is run by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee, elected once a year by students. The Board of Directors meets once a month, and the Executive Committee meets twice a week. Students can also attend the yearly General Assembly, which is the Union’s highest decision-making body, to approve or reject Board decisions, vote on important motions, and debate campus issues.

The UOSU is a not-for-profit corporation and is independent from the University of Ottawa.
