Womens Resource Centre

About Us

The WRC is an inclusive, non-judgmental, pro-choice, feminist drop-in space that supports community members (women, trans folk, non-binary folk and men) who want to work together to challenge gender oppression on campus and in our communities. We do work on sexual health, reproductive health, ending gender based violence and any other type of work deemed relevant to the intersectionalities of gender and other identities. Our goal is to create an open environment where you can find the resources and the people you need to make positive changes in your life, finish that paper, find new friends or just relax a bit. Our goal is also to end gender-based violence by challenging myths and stereotypes, on our campuses and in our communities. We are for students, by students. Our efforts are feminist, queer-friendly, anti-oppressive, gender-inclusive, and sex-positive.

Services offered:

Peer-to-peer support listening and referrals within a feminist and anti-oppressive framework

We strive to offer a relaxed and anti-oppressive space to drop in, meet new people, study and socialize

Workshops, events, discussion groups and organizing resources

A voice for gender advocacy through work on campus, in the community and throughout Canada

A quiet, semi-private space for breastfeeding, phone calls, and support

We offer free safer sex supplies (such as condoms, dental dams, lube), menstrual products, and pregnancy tests

We offer a family-friendly space with child-friendly toys
