UOSU is working with KC Consultings to bring you three different tax filing support options: webinars, online filing, and online appointments.
These sessions will teach students how to do their own taxes using a free online tool, and they are particularly useful for students with simple tax situations (e.g. full-time students with part-time jobs). By the end of the webinar, their taxes will be submitted. The online tool charges additional fees for complex tax situations (e.g., self-employed, students with RESPs or external scholarships, investment or rental income).
The online filing tool is convenient for all students, regardless of their tax situation, and is ideal for students who prefer not to speak with an agent and want their taxes handled by an expert.
Students will be asked to fill out an online form and submit their documents. Their taxes will be completed within 7 days, and they will receive a detailed email summarizing their declaration and expected refunds. All signatures will be electronic.

These are one-hour sessions where an agent will fill out and submit the student's taxes, available for students of any tax situation. During the meeting, the agent will verify the documents, and the declaration will be processed and submitted by the end of the session. This is ideal for students who have questions to ask an agent.
